FundedNext Stellar 2-Step rules
In FundedNext's Stellar 2-Step, the target is 8% in phase one and 5% in phase two, with no time limit. The daily loss is a fixed 5% of the starting balance that grows with profit made the same day, and the total loss is a static 10% of the starting balance. Each phase requires five trading days.
The detail that changes how you trade this firm: the daily limit is not measured from the balance the day opened with, but from a fixed amount that the day's own profit widens.

The programme's figures
FundedNext publishes Stellar 2-Step in two phases, with the limits below and no deadline for either.
- Phase 1 target: 8% of the starting balance.
- Phase 2 target: 5%.
- Daily loss: 5% of the starting balance, a fixed amount that grows with profit made the same day.
- Day rollover: 00:00 server time, which is GMT+3 during European summer time and GMT+2 outside it.
- Open losses, commissions and swaps count towards the daily limit.
- Total loss: the account cannot fall below 90% of the starting balance, a static limit.
- Minimum days: five per phase, with at least one trade per day, not necessarily consecutive.
- Time limit: none in either phase.
- News trading and weekend holding: allowed, according to the product page.
- First reward after 21 days and then every 14 days; the challenge fee is refunded with the first.
- Account sizes: US$ 6,000, 15,000, 25,000, 50,000, 100,000 and 200,000.
A daily limit that same-day profit widens
The firm gives the formula itself: the daily limit is the starting balance multiplied by the challenge percentage. On a 100k account that is 5,000 of allowed loss per day, computed on the starting balance and not on the balance the day opened with.
What almost nobody notices is the second half of the official example. If you make 2,000 in profit during the day, that day's limit becomes 7,000. Profit made in the morning becomes headroom in the afternoon, but only until the rollover at server midnight.
The reverse applies just as strongly: with 3,000 of realised loss, only 2,000 remains for open positions before the limit is breached. Because floating loss counts, a position that turns against you late in the day can take the account without ever being closed.
Rollover time, and who actually feels it
FundedNext's day ends at midnight server time. At GMT+3 that is 5 pm New York time in summer, and at GMT+2 it is 5 pm in winter too, since both sides shift. For most of the year it coincides with the New York close, so traders who flatten at the end of the US session rarely feel the rollover.
Traders who hold positions overnight cross the rollover with that moment's floating result counting towards the next day. The firm's dashboard shows a countdown to the reset, and it is worth checking before opening a position late in the day.
EAs: three different official answers
On trading with expert advisors, the firm's own pages disagree. The FundedNext CFD rules article says automated trading is not allowed and only built-in Match-Trader indicators are permitted. An earlier article in the same help centre allows EAs on accounts below US$ 50,000. The product page says EAs and VPS are available as a paid add-on.
This page does not pick one. If your trading depends on an EA, confirm with the firm's support, in writing, before buying. Every other rule summarised here matches across all the official sources consulted.

FAQ
Is FundedNext's daily loss calculated on the day's balance?
No. It is a fixed amount equal to 5% of the account's starting balance. Profit made the same day widens that limit until rollover, and open losses, commissions and swaps count.
Is the Stellar 2-Step total drawdown trailing?
No. The firm says the account cannot fall below 90% of the starting balance, and the product page classifies the limit as static. Accumulated profit becomes real headroom.
When does the day roll over at FundedNext?
At midnight server time: GMT+3 during European summer time and GMT+2 outside it. For most of the year that coincides with the New York close.
Can I use an EA on Stellar 2-Step?
The firm gives three different answers across three official pages. If you depend on an EA, confirm in writing with support before buying.
