E8 One rules

In E8 One, the target is 6% of closed profit and the daily loss is 3% of the day's starting balance. Total loss is 4% on a dynamic floor that rises only when you close a profit — never when equity rises — and locks permanently at the starting balance.

This is the firm that draws the clearest line between two things almost everyone mixes up: what moves the floor and what triggers the breach.

The preset figures

E8 One is sold with adjustable parameters; the values below are those of the preset the firm publishes.

  • Profit target: 6%, counting closed profit.
  • Daily loss: 3%, computed on the day's starting balance, resetting at 00:00 server time.
  • A daily breach considers equity or balance, which means open positions count.
  • Total loss: 4% on a dynamic drawdown that rises only when a profit is closed.
  • Lock: the floor becomes permanently fixed at the starting balance once closed profit reaches the drawdown amount.
  • Consistency: none in the challenge; 40% of total generated profit on the performance account.
  • Profit split: 80%, 90% or 100%, chosen at checkout.
  • Sizes: from US$ 5,000 to US$ 500,000.

Rising on closed profit changes the game

The firm is explicit: the loss level rises when you close a profit, not when equity increases. That means a trade that runs in your favour and gives it all back before being closed leaves no mark on the floor — the opposite of the intraday trailing used by futures firms, where the unrealized peak already counts.

In practice, E8 One punishes realizing and forgives floating. Traders who scale out raise the floor with every partial; traders who hold the full position to target move it once.

The payout and the detail that survives it

The first payout can be requested from three days into the trading period on the performance account, and the amount has to be greater than half the daily drawdown — the firm gives the example of a 100k account with a 4% daily limit, where the minimum lands at just over 2,000 dollars.

The detail that usually goes unnoticed: after the payout, the dynamic drawdown level does not move back, it stays where it was. Without leaving a cushion before requesting, the account resumes with less headroom than it appeared to have.

FAQ

Does E8 One's drawdown rise on unrealized profit?

No. The firm states the level rises only when a profit is closed, not when equity increases. A trade that gives back its gain before closing does not move the floor.

Where does the floor lock?

At the starting balance. Once closed profit reaches the dynamic drawdown amount, the floor is fixed and never moves again, becoming a static limit.

Is there a consistency rule in the challenge?

Not in the challenge. On the performance account the 40% best day rule applies, measured against total generated profit.
