Payout

A payout is the share of profit paid to the trader on a funded account. It is the only moment the result leaves the screen and reaches a bank account. Run this calculation now: how prop firm payouts actually work

·

Split and cycle

The usual split runs from 70% to 90% for the trader, sometimes scaling with account age. The cycle sets the frequency: biweekly, monthly, or on demand after a minimum number of valid days. Many firms also require a minimum accumulated profit and compliance with the consistency rule.

Some contracts reset surplus balance after a payout, others keep it; some raise the drawdown floor along with the withdrawal. Those details change the next cycle's net result and rarely appear in the sales material.

What delays payment

The frequent causes are incomplete documentation, valid days below the minimum, best-day weight above the consistency cap, and trading during forbidden windows such as high-impact news. None of them shows up before the request; all of them show up after.

TCC records every payout requested and received, with date, fee and exchange rate, and shows the amount actually paid per account and per firm — the number that matters at year end.
