Consistency rule
The consistency rule caps the weight of your best day inside the cycle's total profit. It exists to separate a process from a single lucky swing. Run this calculation now: consistency rule calculator
How the percentage is measured
The most common format: best-day profit may not exceed 30% to 50% of accumulated profit for the period. If the cap is 40% and you made 4,000 in the cycle, no single day may have contributed more than 1,600. Note the direction of the maths — the day does not shrink, the total has to grow.
Some firms also measure per-trade consistency, capping the weight of one trade, and others apply the rule only at payout rather than during evaluation. Variations exist that count only positive days in the denominator.
How not to block the payout
If one exceptional day pushed you outside the cap, the way out is not to trade bigger: it is to accumulate more moderate positive days until the total rises and that day's weight falls on its own. Raising risk to compensate usually costs the daily limit instead.
TCC computes each day's weight against cycle profit and shows how much more you need to accumulate for the payout to sit inside your firm's rule.
